Alyssa is a proud Prince George’s County, Maryland native! She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Maryland, College Park in the field of speech-language pathology, and later moved to Washington, D.C. with her husband in 2024.

Before entering vocational ministry, Alyssa served her local church as a Sunday school teacher, student ministry leader, bible study teacher, and youth choir director.

In 2026, Alyssa joined NWCC as the Next Gen Minister and feels privileged to walk alongside kids and students as they grow in their faith. Her husband, Drake, works with Young Life DC, where he also serves youth throughout the city. Together, they live in Washington, D.C., and enjoy strolling through local markets and trying new restaurants.
